It was interesting to hear what Davos said about the benefits of Ayahuasca but is this an option for most people? A mother with post natal depression could certainly benefit from it but there needs to be so much de-stigmatization before that's a viable option without any shame surrounding it

I think it's a bit outrageous that governments are willing to decriminalize psychedelics before looking at making fundamental changes to the way society operates.

The title alone had me. Always looking for ways to treat the cause instead of the symptom. This back to basics approach is really such a holistic and humble way to do better for ourselves and our community.

This is a wonderful talk. Thank you. One of the best TED in a long time that I have seen.

Davor, you're onto it! We have been treating the symptoms instead of the cause for so long and everything I've heard so far in your talk is about genuinely seeking the causes for all the dis-ease. How we truly break the cycle.

My grandfather, a keen fisherman and birdwatcher taught me how important it was to be "in Nature". To feel connected to the ecosystem and to realise we were a part of it.

Can't believe I'm the first comment!!! I love love love that "Natural" remedies are now becoming mainstream. Certainly great sages like Ram Dass showed us the way with mushrooms and connection to self!

Listening to this was both exciting and frustrating - frustrating because it seems so obvious that people are depressed because we're so far removed from the type of lifestyle we're MEANT to be living and what our modern lives actually are. But it's exciting that science and mainstream thinking is finally coming around to that realisation and trying to find ways to get us back in touch with our organic selves

'depression feels like a state of disconnectedness' - absolutely true.

Brilliant title and an even better perspective - this couldn't make a huge difference in so many peoples lives AND it is so basic!! Love it!

"Compassion towards oneself and others increases our psychological well being in a more sustainable way". I'm all for anything that helps my depression long term.

Magic mushrooms are a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in nature. Enjoying the smell of the jasmine, feeling the softness of the grass. Makes it difficult to be depressed afterwards! 😊

Mindfulness and a meditation practise should be part of everyone lives. The flow on effects in our body are significant, helping with stress and anxiety without drugs.

I walked through the Botanical Gardens to get to school and became attached to the changing beauty of nature. It affects our mood more than we know.

Great video! Thank you 😊 🙏 unconditional love to all ❤️♾️🌌I've had psychedelics in spiritual ceremonies for healing purposes and it's true what it said on this video. I connected with Ayahuasca

I'm constantly amazed by people who don't understand just important nature is to us

I couldn't agree more, especially when he talks about how building machines to clean up the ocean etc, only addresses the symptom. We are so disconnected from our natural habitat because we are living so separately to it! The average person has very little daily interaction with nature and even less so in a way that demonstrates how we rely on it, and why it's crucial to protect it.

Any treatment protocol able to help with long term depression has my vote - especially before any diagnosis or a script and a bottle!
