God damn those lines of dialogue hit hard. Olivia Cooke killed it.

I'm beginning to notice just how smart Aemond and Aegon were during this scene. When questioned by Viserys, Aemond obviously lies, redirecting the blame to Aegon. He knew there wasn't much the king would do to him so guaranteed immunity. Also Aegon generalizing his answer, 'everybody knows, ' brilliant stuff. Everybody really did know, I mean, Rhaenyra didn't even try. His response was honestly such a checkmate.

Alicent has such a complex relationship with her children. This was one of the scenes showing her raw maternal instinct, despite her resentment.

Edit: Ok seeing season 2 I was wrong but it seemed really different in the books like him not setting his brother on fire.
