Ever since it was released in 1994, the Boeing 777 has been the go-to widebody for airliners. Untill 2014, when Airbus dropped the A350 as a direct competitor to the trusted 777. For many years the A350 and Boeing 777 sat next to eachother, without a clear winner. But recently this narrative seemed to be changing, as the A350 is slowly but surely taking the upperhand because of various reasons. Find out those reasons in this video! Thanks for watching.

Gotta agree. Especially 2023 and 2024 was huge for airbus. The A350 netted in a whopping 380 new order in the last 2 years, giving them a backlog of more than 700 planes.
Boeing on the other hand was only able to snatch a 138 orders in the same timeframe. Their backlog is of similar size with ~500 units though and the 777 is especially popular with Emirates. That being said Airbus has a lot of trouble building enough planes right now, so them being in high demand doesnt yet translate to high delivery numbers.

Just like Garuda Indonesia, I wanted to Indonesian flag carrier/Indonesia's National Airlines choose AIRBUS A350 over it's BOEING 777 for the future because every long year of 2024 every BOEING get crisis that was when on January yesterday BOEING 737 MAX 9 from Alaskan Airlines has already get crisis until all the BOEING types will get crisis too.

Are you referring to it selling better than the older generation of the 777? It is obvious that a newer generation plane is going to sell better than an older generation (practically discontinued) plane.
Additionally, if you’re trying to compare the 777X to another plane, you should only compare it to the a350-1000, where the 777X has outsold it.
One more thing I’d like to add is that most of the A350’s technologies were implemented after the 787 program, which by the way, has outsold the a330neo 6:1.
Although the A350 is definitely a great plane with a lot of revolutionary technologies of its own, I don’t think the video does justice to the original 777, which by now has a 30 yer old design.
