My orthodontist gave me my first Oral-B when I was a teenager and it’s the only brand I’ve used. My mouth is small and my teeth are kind of big… I love it. I just focus on covering the entire tooth/gum line. Especially the front teeth. I’m looking forward to trying a pressure sensor one. Thank you for this video!

Bra you didn't talk about what's the best ones (models) or even what you use!... Just talked about general instructional chat. Click bait title not relevant!

I have both Oral-B and Philips Sonicare. I never use my Oral-B because I can’t stand the mechanical noise. 🤷‍♀️
My Quip is great for travel.

I recently switched to the Sonicare 6100 from an OB Spin Brush and I have to say that I am impressed. It's _very_ powerful, easy to use, easy to maintain, and while it's a little more expensive than the Oral Bs, the extra cost is truly worth it.
Most electrics you have to use for a while before you can really get a sense of how well it works. This is NOT the case with the 6100. I noticed a real difference after 3 uses.
I have tartar issues on the inside of my lower front teeth and this brush is destroying it. I have less and less. Soon it will be completely gone at this rate.
Can't say enough good things about the 6100.
Edit: I paid $82 for this product online. More than reasonable.

I literally have a collection of electric tooth brushes, spanning several decades. My favorite, is a copy of a Sonicare toothbrush that I bought on Temu, for about $4.00 US with eight replacement heads. It cleans just as well, but feels softer and more luxurious. Another noteworthy brush is my Sonicare One Battery, recommended for children, but similar to other Sonicare brushes and smaller. It uses a single AAA battery that lasts several months. I also don't need to dispose of the brush when my rechargeable Duracell eventually runs out. I actually regret overspending on some of my "better" toothbrushes.

I need to buy a new toothbrush! My battery does not last a single brush anymore. So this video is super helpful thank you!

I have a an electric oral B Toothbrush and a Sonic tooth brush. I brush my teeth with the electric brush, for 2 minutes, leave the foam from the toothpaste in my mouth and use the Sonic Toothbrush on one of it`s 3 settings. The Sonic brush vibrates and emits a blue light for 1 or 2 minutes., then shuts off automatically. The blue light kills bacteria and whitens your teeth. I have nice white teeth, but never had my teeth whitened! I use a water pick and floss as well.
I have told my husband and my children to use this brush as well. I have had this brush ever since it was advertised, about 3 years.
My dentist and I are very happy about the state of my gums and my teeth! Some years ago I had a container for my toothbrush that emitted blue light to keep the toothbrush free of bacteria. I feel, I have had fewer colds, since I use this brush in addition to my "normal" brush.

Wait… so with Philips sonic care you don’t brush back and forth, you just slide slowly across each tooth and gum?

I have the Oral B IO3. And compared to the Oral B two Subash that you demonstrated in the video it is a lot quieter. And that is why I like it. Also, upon using this toothbrush, when I went to my appointment for a cleaning the hygienist definitely noticed a difference. She definitely complimented me for sure and as she said, I did my homework as she said. I then proceeded to start laughing.

I definitely prefer the more gentle vibrations of the newer Oral B toothbrushes. As I find that sonic cares vibrations are a bit too aggressive for my liking. And I also prefer the round brushhead as it allows me to maneuver the brush around the mouth a lot easier.

I get so frustrated because I love the vibe and aesthetic of Sonicare, but with my small adult teeth the brush heads are too large to contact with my teeth, feels like it’s just hovering. I am currently using Cocofloss manual, but I am looking to try Oral B.

I can’t find the electric toothbrush heads type on the package. So soft, medium, etc. Why? Are all of them soft?

Thanks for the info... I just placed an order for a oral-b i05 and I think i'm going to like it a lot. Been using manual toothbrushes all my life and well I brush always in the morning I found it hard to always brush at night... To much work for me after a long day on my way to bed so I hope having a tooth brush I can just hold will increase my brushing habits at night before bed.

Since using Sonic brushes used to have pains in the gums and teeth that have all gone, but before even using the brush, I use a water flosser great video

Burst girl for life 💜 Now they have a curve version that has a sleek “hybrid” look but is still a superior sonic clean 😘

I love this electric toothbrush but you can not remove debris between teeth no matter how powerful the motor is. People do not get it, toothbrushes alone WILL NOT REMOVE FOOD BETWEEN TEETH and but if bacteria accumulate between teeth you are in trouble. What you need is an interdental brush like the gap picker.

Hi Whitney, really love your videos and learning ALOT! Thank you!

I was hoping you could talk about brush head bristle materials availability, for both conventional and electric toothbrushes?

I have sensitive teeth and was hoping to find soft rubber bristles, are they available for electric brushes?

And which traditional toothbrush would you recommend that has soft (or ultra soft) bristles?

Does bristle material even matter, and why?

Your expertise is truly appreciated. Thanks!

Took the plunge and got a set of Oral B IO 7 for us. They were on sale at my local Sam's. Magic. So clean. I also learned that I take WAY too long to brush. xD <3

The title of this video is misleading, as it doesn’t even really ask the question ‘Which is the best electric toothbrush of 2024?’ much less answer it. A better title might have been ‘An Intro to Electric Toothbrushes’ or ‘Electric Toothbrushes 101’, IMO. Not that the information presented isn’t useful or valuable; being new to electric toothbrushes I found it to be both; it just doesn’t live up to the title.
