I love how in the opening there's only David and in the ending there's only Lucy.

Having seen how the show ends, the Outro here does not exactly help with the feels.... I am going to cry for another 10 minutes now.

"Forgive me for letting you down" Its like what Lucy was thinking about David.

"hold on to your wishes if you cant hold on to me" hardest hitting line in the song

One day she's gonna read about how some random Merc walked into Araska and iced everyone that got in their way. All the way up to Smasher.

I gotta say, this is a very accurate portrayal of depression.
A feeling of emptiness, something that used to fill that hole (For Lucy, that would've been her friends and David), but now it's gone. Irreparably gone, forever. A crippling loneliness that will linger. Most of the time you can't even cry about it, it's just.. nothing.
I feel this set of scenes describes that feeling perfectly.

It's amazing how this ending fits so well in the three phases of knowing Lucy (at least for me): First she's a random hacker that you know probably had a hard life, and after telling her dream of traveling to the moon, it seems like her day-to-day with an sporadic breakdown where she cries.

Then, the "crying/screaming" and ice cubes recontextualizes to the net travels she does as a netrunner. Her routine as an edgerunner.

THEN it can be seen as her life living with David and the end of it all.

This show is a perfect masterpiece and everything about it exudes passion and care.

The outro feels like what happened next after the ending of the anime. The way Lucy's walking so defeated, the songs lyrics it just seems like Lucy trying to cope with the loss of David and all her friends.

so the outro essentially foreshadowed how Lucy tried to cope with the loss of David and how she eventually moved on to go the moon without him 😢

The Moon reminds us that reality is not always what it seems at first glance. In a world of appearances and illusions, the best course is often charted by one's own intuition. The Moon is also the card of dreams, desires, and of course, sleep – Death's nightly ritual.

This is a pretty great representation of how playing the table top games makes you feel. I have an ongoing living community for 2020/Red, and you get attached to certain edgerunners, and work together all the time, and when someone's lost, you feel it. It's all completely fictional, but 'Night City' feels a little different without that person possibly going on a gig with you ever again.

love how the final shot is an alternate version of the moon tarot card from the actual game.

One of few outro credits which I actively choose to watch through every episode of this series I watch on repeat, and a massive inspiration for me as a 3D animator to emulate its masterful use of visual and auditory storytelling.

Este Ending me hace pensar que Lucy llego a su casa así, tras todos los acontecimientos que conlleva a la muerte de David y Después cumplío la promesa de ir a La Luna.

Now I hate myself for skipping this outro.

This videos is literally her routine/mourning after david's death, so it shows her lifting her head and looking at the moon at the end, which i believe is when she actually goes to the moon. Basically this video is part of ep 10, more specifically fitting in between david's death and her trip to the moon (because it wouldn't make sense for her to go the next day after losing everything that was important to her), and the lyrics of the song ... fits perfectly with her mourning.

Ps: im still broke after watching this show ;~;
