REAL recurring tasks in Notion (no more tricks)

We’ve always asked for native recurring tasks in Notion. It’s taken a long time but finally they’re here!
We can stop using third party apps to get this done as we were doing in the past.

Very clever system!

While the inability to move tasks in the calendar would be an annoyance, I see a simple solution: open a new calendar view and sort the tasks by real due dates. There are no recurring tasks in that view, but its purpose would be to shuffle around non-recurring tasks quickly.

The issue is that I cannot add reminder to the recurring task. Only in the template itself but I cannot set a notification without a date and the date is the day the task it's created. The question is the date is gonna chsnge itself when the recurring task date comes and also get notified

Amazing content like always. Amazing idea with the override system, I won't use it for this particular instance but saving the idea for later uses.

What about you want to add recurring events and have them reminded before hand, lets say 2 days before ? Issue is notion creates the next repeat of event in timeline only when that specific day and time comes & not at time when first time event is created in timeline.

It's cool that Notion finally add automation but the fact that there is no ability to define relative date is like telling to a child we will go to the toys store but he can only buy a gum in the front of the store. Your method is good but not being able to drag but also not being able to set a recurring without time is a no go for me. Also, having to create all those things for each template even if we can duplicate an existing one in not pleasant. I can imagine Notion releasing a new version in January with relative date and all those guys having to destroy their setup :D

It's so incredibly frustrating you cannot add reminders to these kind of templates.
A very simple example: if you want to have a habit tracker to repeat every day, it would be useful that it would send notifications to your mobile so you can just tick them off when you do them.

This sounds as though it is just what I want but your format on my iPad is too small to see. If you make you half tge size of the video of your head you could almost double the space available for your video. Hope you don’t mind this comment I like this video!

Getting an error requiring me to keep logging in to Notion when I try to link to the template.
