Basically your saying only play AK, AQ and pocket pairs above 10 10. 😂

I do agree with these. However, Your cheat sheet says call preflop raise from all positions: TT, 99, 88, 77, 66, 55, 44, 33, 22, AQ, AJ, KQ, QJs, JTs.
So which is it. Don’t play small pairs, AJ, etc… or Not?
Conflicting information for sure.

Or you can wait all day to be dealt a good hand and take a bad beat when you finally get one.

Funny I knew all of these pointers and play all these hands exactly how you suggested, but it took me years of playing learning much of that the hard way. I wish I saw this video 30 years ago.

Two weeks ago, you had a video telling us that 87 suited and pocket 4’s are underrated…

Some of this (for me at least) is determined by stack size how much the pot is raised (if any) pre-flop. Maybe I have 4d4s in a limped pot and flop is Kd 3h 2s. Even a pot sized bet may be worth it if it's not effecting my stack all that much, especially if I'm against players that will pot bet draws or small cards on such a flop. I agree with AJ against tight players, but sometimes it's a slam dunk call to a 3 bet or even jam against others, especially players who will raise/3bet any Ace at all.

I liked your 98 suited comment. I checked my poker tracker, this was my biggest losing hand. Playing this, I have almost stopped.

Your advice is good for large numbers of players, but as it starts to dwindle, those hands are fine.

Usually I love your stuff but fold 98s is nitty, small pocket pairs are some of the best hands to play against EP because if you hit your set and they hit there A you will probably get there stack, if you miss you just give up. I agree with the rest but AJo goes up in value the later the position. Just my opinion

I got A LOT better in poker tournaments because I avoid OVERPLAYING AJ A7 off and some other BS hands. KJ QJ are overrated. I would rather play pocket 3s than KJ QJ offsuit.

Agree with most of these in general, but the small pocket pairs are trouble hands for those who can't accurately assess their opponents range. If you're just set mining, of course these are bad ideas but if you can accurately identify opponents who have AK/AQ and have missed you can win a good bit if you know how to navigate these types of situations.

Problem with suited connectors are the big pots you lose to the people with higher flushes.

When it comes to baby pocket pairs, I will always try to see a flop cheaply. But I never bet if the flop doesn't hit (and it rarely does).

This is a good start. Now you can work on not playing any of the other poker hands either.

Hand #1 I would have just classified as "AQ/AJ/A10", instead of just AJ. In my experience, all 3 of those hands run into the strategic problems you were describing with AJ.

He is saying to not overplay these hands, and pay attention to position with these hands. He isn't saying don't ever play them. Might help paying attention to all he says instead of just assuming.
