After wasting 2 hours on forums like toms hardware and Microsoft community, finally your solution worked. In TP Link, there is no qos, but I figured out the workaround. Thanks

Ireland and UK users. I've experienced this issue twice now with a Virgin media hub 3.0 (Ireland) You can't get into the router settings using 192.168.0.1 The solution was a hard reset of the router using the reset button located on the rear of the router. Make sure everything is unplugged, plug back in wait for it to go through the power up cycle, and then perform the hard reset and wait again for it to fully boot. Seems to be the only solution. Hope this helps anybody else stuck. Virgin seem to be clueless to way this happens.

Thank you! I have xfinity service and an Arris SBG7580-AC router modem. I had to disable WMM and put the modem router in Bridge mode for it to work again. Thank you!

This might help some people:
- right click on your internet icon
- go to network settings
- click on Change Adapter Options (in the Status section)
- double click Ethernet
- click on properties
- look for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and double click on it
- set bottom one to Obtain DNS server address automatically then click OK and it should work (in theory)

for some reason i had a completely different DNS IP Address there and that fixed the issue

This is an old video, but a bump for relevance. This fixed a sudden problem for me in 2018. You rock.

Thank you for this video.
What if you are using university campus network and don't have access to the router?

To anyone who cannot find QoS settings in their Router Control Panel or cannot find WMM in their QoS settings, navigate to "Wireless" or "Wireless Advanced". You should be able to find WMM under one of the sub menus.

Thank you so much!!! I had about given up on my 14 year old laptop, since this problem suddenly appeared four days ago. I'm not sure how the router setting got changed, but this FIX worked immediately!

Just now had this problem on a Netgear R6400, the solution in the video fixed it for me!

It might not always be because of the WMM settings of the router.
Sometimes it might be because of the server issue from the ISPs themselves.
So doc check with your ISPs if there is any issue from their end.
I had the same issue, and I after disabling the WMM settings, even did a factory reset to the router, still it was not solved, so called up my ISP and they said they are facing some issues with their servers.
And after about 3-4 hours it was fixed. Just FYI

Go to Chrome Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Change Proxy Settings > LAN Settings > Select "Use Proxy Server for your LAN"
