What they don't show you is that they don't use the whole shark they chuck the still living shark back to sink to the bottom of the ocean to die slowly, if the whole animal was used that may be different

I do know that there are many people who just hunt shark for their fins. It is a very lucrative market. Shark fin soup is a delicacy . Many sharks(including endangered ones) are constantly being slaughtered. It is very heartbreaking!

Chinese, fins, sharks, what a shame. Poor sharks to be decimated. Very sad business.

Right or wrong to some commenters in the thread, they sell the fins yes, to support their family. But there is more than one part of a shark that is edible and I would think that they use all of it they can, otherwise why wouldn't they just cut the fins off and let the rest of the shark fall to the bottom of the sea? Which they don't. They didn't let the little half eaten one go to waste either.
