I am not from China. I am from a neutral country where Jim Rogers is now residing. She forgets to say American corporations such as Apple, GM, Boeing, etc made billions of dollar in China with the help of Chinese cheap labors. The amount of money these big corporations bring back to America is far much more than the trade imbalance and for the past 30 years their capital gain has toppled the value of 4 largest Chinese banks combined. Fair or unfair, who is getting the biggest share of the pie by investing in China?

Tariff is paid by the purchaser not the producer. If a US company buys TVs from China and the cost of the TVs is $10, 000.00, the US company would have to pay China $10, 000.00 and the US government the 25% tariff which amounts to $2, 500.00. The US government benefits from tariffs, nor the American companies nor American consumers. Tariffs force China to look for other markets for their TVs. The result is that China will sell less TVs to the US and the US will sell less soy beans to China.

Yes, huge trade deficit is an issue, but look at the stupid examples they pick. China barely exports these products but imports them. When is the last time someone buys a bottle of orange juice or a box of eggs and it says products of China, despite the low tariff on them?

If you truly are concerned about America getting a fair deal you need to research for 5 minutes & then question why the American Media does not report all the facts concerning Americas Trade Policy's.
