Attention retro gaming fans! Atari is bringing back a modern version of the legendary console with the 7800+. After the success of the 2600+ last year, Atari is bringing back the 7800 with modern features such as HDMI, USB-C and a pause button!

I wish I had saved my cartridges now. I only kept one. I kept it as a decoration which was my favorite 2600 Game: Adventure. When I look at the cartridge it brings me back memories of another time and a childhood friend. I will buy the 7800+ just breathe life into that old Adventure cartridge once again. Also, gotta get Berzerk, the 7800 version of course. "Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert"

As someone who was heard of but missed out on the 7800, I do believe now is the time for a redemption arc. I’m personally excited for the Atari 7800+, and new games like Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest!
Atari has really been listening to what it is customers want, and they are delivering tenfold! Part of me wants to see an Atari Lynx+ with a significantly smaller form-factor, compatibility with games and much better battery life (rechargeable and lasts more than 3-5 hours)—if possible.

The answer, technically, it’s exactly the same. The only difference is a different case and controller.

I'd rather play your atari 7800 over anything on Playstation or x box. The fun factor is there! X box and Playstation games are more like stupid movies with dumb controllers. I wish SEGA would learn from you guys. Awesome video and thanks for the info boys

How about a 5200+ Cartridge Adapter compatible with 2600+ & 7800+ systems so now we can enjoy our 5200 collection on the plus systems?

It's pretty close to being the best retro console. What would make it better is if it had an sd card slot or usb port to download roms.

The orginal release of the 7800 in Australia had the two button controller pad not the two button joystick.

New subscriber here. I have an OG 7800 so I’ll be passing on the plus. But next year I’m hoping for either an XE plus, Intellivision Plus or 5200+

Okay I was just thinking, what if Atari did a Jaguar+? Here's my idea:

#1. A modern take on the Jaguar Pro Controlled with a touch screen instead of the keypad, with new releases shipping with overlays to support the original controllers and built-incpde t dosplay the overlays on the touch screen.
