He was so good as furio that I actually thought they hired a real Italian actor to play him.

Instead of aging, Furio just turns into Mustang Sal.

Out of all the characters on the show, Furio is the one I felt was let go way too soon.

The unexpected way he leaves actually felt quite realistic. It's life. How many times have we all experienced sudden departures from our lives from people who felt so integral at the time?

Furio was wonderfully modeled. Just fantastic acting. From quiet and polite to rage- what a badass.

Furio was the most badass character in the sopranos ever. The strong silent type.

honestly Furio picked the best moment to go back home. the DeMeio family started to crash and burn in seasons 5 and 6. maybe Furio could have prevented some of the problems but idk, i'd hate to see Furio get whacked by NY. but Furio is such a badass who knows maybe there could be a scene where he takes out like 3 or 4 hitmen who are sent after him or something. and i always thought it was funny Tony trying to act like the big man saying he was people looking for Furio and he's a dead men. no way. Furio is well respected in the Italian family and no way would they kill him for Tony Soprano.

Federico is also an incredibly talent painter, and a true gentleman. I met him a couple of times some years ago and was blown away by his artistic talent and how nice he is, with such a great sense of humor.

Furio was a great character, and it was a shame to see him go, but the way they worked that into the plot re: Carmela, was great. You could really feel for them, the chance at happiness basically lost for both of them. In some other universe, maybe, but the Sopranos show was more often about crushing dreams than fulfilling them.

The Sopranos had so many great characters and among them Furio got to shine. Totally believable as the zip from the other side. If I had a dollar for every time I said “stupida fukin game” I’d have a nice stack by now.

Loved it when he intimidated Junior's doctor on the golf course: "Stupida f---ing game."

I'M SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT THIS UP! I always wondered why it was such a sharp turn and then he was totally gone. Didn't make sense for such a good part of the show.

I like vincent as an actor but there was much more dead weight in the cast they could have cut and gave the furio character something really special to move forward with in terms of story

Nothing but respect for Vince Curatola and the incredible job he did as Johnny Sack, but Frank Vincent really knocked it out of the park as Uncle Philly. I remember when they first brought him in and I was like typecast guy?", but he did such an amazing job it was legendary. Buon Anima Frank Vincent.

I find it hard to believe that the show didn't have an unlimited budget at that point
