"Failure is the best teacher." This is what R6 is. This means you have to try and try again. Getting killed sucks, but killing someone because you outplayed them in this game is the best feeling and shows that you've improved by leaps and bounds.

Ah yes, the classic "it gets good after 200 hours" lol

You either win or learn, but never lose

For me, the best thing about dying to the most random shit, aside from 1v1 gunfights, is the kill cam. You get to know HOW you died so you can remember it, learn from it then try to do it to the next unknowing person next game.

R6 has a very steep learning curve, I can still remember 5 years ago when I struggled holding angles on this game lol

Siege is the farthest from a beginner friendly game, but the peak you hit and the crest into actual understanding of everything is so gratifying

Everytime new maps came out. Came back to it recently with buddies after a year and half and let’s say there was a streak lol

This is the same reason I enjoy tarkvon and always wanted to try r6. Both give a sense of feeling clueless in the beginning, dying without knowing from where but once things start clicking it’s so rewarding.

so many people that even are still actively playing r6 need to hear this, even at gold everyone acts like we’re pros and it’s life or death. they’re all forgetting we’re still learning, failure is so much apart of the process.

learn from mistakes and teach what you learn, the whole community could be on top of the world if we just became 30% less toxic

Playing r6 has made me realize so many people are miserable. I mean I only play quick match because I feel way too bad going 0-8 in a ranked game. The amount of people that get mad and rage or leave is astonishing. I’ve never had a bad time playing r6.

Dieing in the back, dieing through a crack, dieing for a snack, dieing to a guy named Jack, dieing to get some slack, dieing to say you’re wack, dieing to talk some smack.

Only reason I miss T Hunt, that was my favorite way to learn maps and earn a bit of currency. But that's gone now and the new training modes they added in place of it doesn't even have all the maps....

Definitely what helped me power through was playing with my friends, who introduced me to the game and played with me and still play with me. I would not have stuck with it let alone started playing without them. The learning (losing) became fun with them

Best part of learning for me was when I died, I watched the killcam. So many people just skip past it or dont watch it and actually pay attention, but it shows you where you left yourself vulnerable and how you can improve next time. It significantly helped the learning curve, as well as when you die watching teammates so you can analyze how they play and way back (OP Blood Orchid) when I used to 1v1 and 2v2 with friends so I could learn maps, sound cues, and gain general siege knowledge. I know much of my learning curve was also when everybody was new to the game, and that really helped, but even now with good good players you just HAVE to play standard over and over and over and learn game sense. 90% of siege is game sense & map knowledge, 10% is recoil control & aim

It helps if youre a quick learner and have a good memory. Realizing when you make mistakes, mentally documenting them, and being able to refer to those instances in future situations will help you tremendously in the long run. This goes for alot of games but seige is the most obvious example.

That’s how I am, I win some and loss more. I’m okay with that, as long I enjoy myself and playing with good people is all I ask for!

this is true, the euphoria you feel when you actually notice you’re getting better and hitting shit you’d never thought of is amazing or just try herion that works too

I understand people don’t want to spend so much time on a game just for it to be good but if you want to get better at those types of games that require lots of skill you need to keep trying and practicing and it becomes ALOT more fun when you get the hang of it. Good point by shroud here.
