Dave goes on a several hundred km adventure in order to completely destroy the Fluke 28-II multimeter.
Short of blowing it up with explosives, will he succeed, or will it live to measure another day?

Multimeters don't go to hell, they go to Dave.

This should be a commercial for Fluke's durability!

I wonder if Fluke has a person dedicated to 'testing' their equipment like this. Must be a fun job.

You should do a troubleshooting and repair video on this meter, it deserves it =-)

Wow, I was expecting a bucket... but a canyon?! A car drop?!!

That's how a review must be done. 5 Stars!

Probably one of my top 10 favorite episodes yet! Fantastic video Dave!

This was completely entertaining! Hilarious. Why engineer it when you can overengineer it? Fantastic. Thank you Dave for confirming to all of us that Fluke meters are bomb-proof! I was worried that I might have issues using the meter while mountainbiking. Now I can rest assured. Great video, Dave!  :)

Is this the video that earned him the title of the Crazy Aussie Bloke? Just bring a high end multi meter with him while repelling down a waterfall. You can't make that up.
I would love to know exactly how thrilled Fluke was to see it go through all that relatively unscathed.

Err, I have thrown myself off that dam actually, I survived!

Wow... was waiting for it to fly into pieces. Impressed.

@dk038967 Not with canyoning helmets, they are ultra light weight and designed for that, see the holes in the sides?

@cyklopek11 What makes you think that? No, I am not sponsored by Fluke, they just gave me the product to review any way I wanted.

@Intosia They do. Casio GzOne Commando C771. Although sand and water won't get in, not enough light gets out in the desert. You can't see the screen in bright sunlight. I did use it to take pictures and make phone calls from a dam, but didn't drop it over the dam.

Funny that you say the only problem is the inductor... you dropped it from 4 times what it's rated before it sheared! Then 10 times! A sheared inductor sounds like cake! This is my next meter, won't have to worry about the kids getting to it. Note if we can get Dell, Samsung, Apple, etc to take a page out of this book... imagine a Galaxy S3 at 30 meters!

Fluke thinks this is AWESOME. Well done, Dave!

Can you do another video in which you simply donate a brand new 28-II to me? :-P
