If the universe is contained in a black hole would we not be able to detect matter and light falling in from all directions not to mention massive energy jet releases from hole itself?

There are a few big problems with you're theory. 1) The intense gravity inside a black hole would kill us maybe not instantly but within seconds/minutes so how have we been around for tens of thousands of years?. 2) The extreme radiation inside the black hole would also kill us probably before the gravity killed us. 3) You wouldn't see other stars/galaxies because their light would be sucked away from you towards the singularity, the light could never reach you. 5) To understand black holes we need to understand how gravity works on the quantum level. Without this understanding we really are guessing. I don't think there is a infinitely small infinitely dense point at the center of a black hole, nothing in nature is infinite. Infinity means there is something we don't understand and our equations don't work on such a small scale/we need a better equation.
