What two cameras would you like me to compare next? - Joe

Pocket 2 is more durable, had it for more than 3 years, dropped it many times, and it's still going strong. Bought the Pocket 3, 7 months ago, and the flippy screen stopped flipping...so the pocket 3 is being repaired, and I'm back using the Pocket 2 again. Flip screen is a big problem on the Pocket 3!

I have spent the past few days watching all your "pocket vs" reviews as I am looking at purchasing a few rigs for content creation. I just wanted to say these are the most helpful and detailed videos I have watched on the subject. Thanks for the awesome work!

in some of the side by sides the Pocket 2 looked better - warmer. I think at half the cost it's a fantastic option!

I'm still using the Pcoket 1...In Fact, I have two of them. For making YouTube videos I found that no one really cares much about the visuals if the audio is good. I connect the DJI Mic 1 to the Pocket 1 and all good. My best videos are with the Pocket 1, while the videos I made with more expensive cameras only did so so...Great video as always:)

Easily the best video on the topic. The effort that went into this in-depth comparison is simply amazing. I think I'm happy with my Pocket 2 for now, the difference in Image Quality does not justify a big purchase such as this one. Later down the line I will surely pick it up, but I am in no rush after watching this video. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to create this detailed comparison! Your hard work really shows, and your production skills have seriously leveled up over the past year. Fantastic job, Sir!

I just got my OP3 two days ago. So, I'm just getting started. But, I watched a ton of videos about the OP3 before I bought it. For me, I got the OP3 for the 10-bit video and the larger monitor. With 10-bit I can match it up with my FX30 more easily.

At 9:11, I could see that the OP3 had better bokeh and separation than the OP2. Probably due to the 1-inch sensor, would be my guess.

I'm taking a vacation on the 20th, when I will be filming a lot with the OP3. Much of which will be for a short film I'm working on. This weekend I will be filming with the OP3 with the DJI ND filters I got. So, I hope to have some footage to share with on my channel and the OP3 Facebook group. Thanks again for another excellent comparison video. Cheers.

9:55 this is why i carry 3 sd cards 256gb each xD Running out of space is never an option! 9:05 this shot shows that the OP3 has better dynamic range and bokeh, the footage looks much more pleasant to look at and the sky isn't blown. Pretty good stuff!

The instant separation between the subject and the background Alone is worth the extra price, better yet the better video quality and all the other upgrades.

What an Intro! I prefer the Osmo Pocket 3 due to the updated display and image quality.

I had the 2, sold it and got the 3. The 3 is fantastic but when you are vlogging (you mentioned this point) it totally blurs the background and you can't see much of the environment you are in. For this reason I literally just repurchased the 2 for an upcoming trip.

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 looks indeed better but I feel like with some video editing and Color setting etc. is possible to get the same result with the DJI 2 😅 The difference is not that much.

I don't doubt that the Pocket 3 is a better video camera, it is newer and larger. When I had a look at one I decided not to upgrade from a Pocket 2 because the main reason I got a an Osmo Pocket camera was to be able to film walking videos more discreetly than with a phone on a gimbal. Imo...the 3 is not much more discreet than a phone on a gimbal, especially with the horizontal screen. Saying that I would like to be able to film better videos at night, the Pocket 2 is really pushed to its limit and have to do more editing to keep the noise at an acceptable level. But a very informative video, it has made me think about just biting the bullet and getting a Pocket 3...will see :)

Great video. I have been hemming and hawing for months on how to upgrade my production quality. This was super helpful, thanks so much for the time and effort.

Amazing work!!! Not a vlogger, but want to make family memories. Live in Southern California and have a 4 yr old daughter. Lots to do here and want to capture a lot of these moments. I don't have a new editing rig. I did notice the difference in the vlog quality between the 2. Still kind of undecided if the difference is worth it. Not on social media to shoot in vertical either. I appreciate the details and your work.

Wow, this is by far the best side by side comparison of these two cameras that I've seen. Thanks so much for all your effort.
I wonder, can the blown out skies of the Pocket 2 be compensated for by slightly underexposing, or will this then make the rest of the image too dark? Or is that a simple recovery in editing software, as long as the histogram wasn't clipped when shooting?
