Thomas is the only person to convince me to watch a whole video about Notion even though i've been using it for years.

For anyone watching this now. Thomas mentions at 7:47 that you can't copy the linked database but change the source database it's fetching it's information from, well now you can! Using these steps:

1. Duplicate the linked database.
2. Press the 3 dots to the left of the blue "New" button.
3. Press "Source" and change it to the database of the notebook that you just created.

I almost started to pay for the Evernote subscription yesterday but today I watched this video and I am actually going to try this template first because I do everything else in Noton. Thank you SO much for giving this template for free. You are saving people thousands upon thousands of dollars on Evernote (unnecessary) subscription (if you only use Evernote to simple note taking). It gets extremely difficult to change from one tool to another. I'm used to Evernote but I want to take advantage of the features of Notion.
Still stumbling after several days of experiments. Hopefully, it will get better with time as you say.

Thanks for walking us through your set up. You're right, it's a good way to mimic Evernote, which I think a lot of Notion users switched from. I frequently see Notion buffs and Notion the company for that matter recommending master databases and then utilizing the powerful filter capabilities and linked databases to focus them, so that's kind of been the approach I've taken with the app. But watching this video made me realize the pros of the individual Notebook approach.
