I love how this band promoted Native American pride, it just sad that they didn't get the recognition they deserved

It is sad that groups like this are basically ignored by the big music machine. They have a message o send and they do a great job of it. Love their videos where they show the customs of their heritage. They are remarkable group and I think they should be inducted into " The Rock Hall of Fame " in recognition of their achievements.

Wow! I've been under a rock, I'm a 70s rocker and all I knew was the song, "come and get your love " and even then didn't know they were native Americans. Here I am now at 65 and just now finding this out!! Better late than never. Now I'm going to listen to as much on these guys as I can. This group should have more recognition and I think should be in the rock an roll hall of fame!!!

I hope more native youth participate in ceremonies. They forget that our ancestors were killed to give us that right. Keep on dancing! Keep their spirits alive!

My older half-sister liked the dancer. She made a big deal about everyone who was 'Indian' or part 'Indian'. She was reported to be @ 1/16 Sioux, and, she showed it.
They were a great band.

At one piunt, my older half-sisster and I could name off all the portraits of the great chiefs.
They were often hung behind the counters of trading posts and the booth at one Iowa State Fair, one year.We got some strange looks from behind the counters!
At a Museum of Native American Art, in Rapid City, SD, we were admiring an artist's exhibition.
My sister saw the portrait of a little man wearing a derby, and, said, " Melissa, look-Wovoka!"
A man sitting on the desk looked surprised and pleased.
We saw his picture on the leaflet we too, He was the artist!
