Hey mate I’ve spent so much time on making a dyno to test a alternator that I converted into a motor that I forgot the reason I converted the alternator!! It was to make a vehicle for my boys. Your video has pushed me to finish it with my boys and they love it!

I did my motor mount differently, that has no adjustment for chain tension.
I made the motor plate then put bolts though the elongated holes in the original engine mount then clamped the plate on top, flipped the quad over and tack welded the bolts to the plate and finished them off with it off the frame.
So now I have a motor mount plate with studs that go though the original mount and can slide back and forth, add a but to the bolt threads to raise the plate so you have clearance for the motor bolts to go in from underneath.

Rad build! Maybe look into putting in a pententiometer, then you can adjust the voltage, turn it down for the kids, crank it up for the adults!

This is awesome. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old with some 110cc Chinese quads that are constantly a problem. Been thinking about doing this but I've never messed around with electric conversion before. Seems simple enough right? Is it easy to manage the speeds through the electric controller?
