That’s awesome guys!
I have spent hours and hours going through Alibaba searching for something to connect the single shaft hub motor to the suspension. Did you have to make them up yourself?
I’m looking at a 2000W dual motor kit from QS motors and I know the shaft is 28mm dia with a key. I’ve modelled something up in Fusion 360 and can fabricate it myself but would be much easier to just buy them in.
Any ideas?
How did you attach the hub motors to the front suspension etc?
Also, how are you finding hub motors in the ATV? I know the disadvantages of them is all the weight at the end of the suspension, but if you are not travelling at higher speeds and don’t need a super reactive suspension, are they suitable? Could there be a solid use case in the emerging micro EV market?
Any help would be appreciated! We are in Perth Western Australia.
