Only 32 seconds for James to say that we’ll finish dead last 😭💔

Obviously I know you''re a neutral (QPR) fan but I love seeing your perspective through everything and your knowledge about football. My favourite channel right now keep up the good work.

As a fan in the US just wanted to say thank you. You're one of the only ways to get quality predictions, breakdowns, and basically anything else about the Prem.

This is gonna be such a tough season to predict. villa, manu, nufc, chelsea, spurs all could potentially finish 4th. maybe even west ham.

Harsh putting Everton in 16th, the points they earned last would've had them finish 12th. They've since improved their team so surely there's nothing to suggest they won't finish mid table again.

I think again you are underestimating Unai Emery? In two seasons he has qualified for Europe with Villa twice and he has qualified for European competition for 16 season in a row since 08/09. If there is anyone who knows how to juggle the league and European competition, then it's him. Your prediction would be an anomaly that he would not qualify for Europe for the first time in 17 years. He has averaged 1.86 in 68 games for Villa would usually would be enough for 71 points thus there would need to be a major drop-off to finish 8th.

Returning injuries for Man United seem to be ignored in these videos. As high as 3rd for them if they can get a dm in the door with their other new signings and returning players, low key being slept on

as a chelsea fan we could finish anywhere from 12th to 4th tbh, if it clicks then it will be great with the attacking power but if its a mess it could be real bad with a weak defence (based on pre season) I think id say 6th or 5th we will finish but go far in the cups

BABE WAKE UP JAMES UPLPADED HIS PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS

I made predictions with 2 different methods and I'll leave them here.

Number one is flawed as it's very basic. It's based on a Least Squares prediction of how many points a team will get. I used data for the last 7 seasons/the seasons since the last promotion. Input is the point tally of one season, output is the point tally of the season after, really simple. This is the prediction:

1. Arsenal 94
2. Man City 89
3. Liverpool 80
4. Aston Villa 77
5. Tottenham 64
6. Newcastle 62
7. Chelsea 60
8.Bournmouth 59
9. Man United 55
10. West Ham 51
11. Crystal Palace 49 (Where they belong)
12. Brighton 48
13. Wolves 43
14. Fulham 42
15. Everton 38
16. Brentfort 36
17. Nottingham Forest 27
18. Leicester City 24
19. Impswitch 20
20. Southhampton

This looks very similar to last seasons table because it's just continuing the trajectory as expected because it can't know of any obstacles.
For the 3 promoted teams I had no data so I just used the data before the relegation for Leicester and Southampton and 1 season of Luton & Sheffield. Impswitch was predicted with data from Leeds and Burnley last season.

Prediction number 2 is just outright wrong but I wanted to share it because it's funny. I tried to do a prediction using a Hankel matrix but the wqy I constructed it was stupid and I would have needed a lot of data for an actual good one. But here it is:
1. Manchester United 75
2. Liverpool 71
3. Crystal Palace 65
4. Leicester City 64
5. Wolves 63
6. Newcastle 61
7. Arsenal 60
8. Tottenham 59
9. West Ham United 58
10. Brentford 55
11. Nottingham Forest 54
12. Manchester City 54
13. Everton 53
14. Aston Villa 48
15. Brighton 48
16. Impswitch 43
17. Chelsea 43
18. Fulham 38
19. Southampton 38
20. Bournmouth 22
If even 5 placings in the second predictions are correct, I think I deserve some sort of medal

A different class of football content. Well done Jim! 🎉 Think the mighty Wolves might surprise a few though; I’m hoping Cunha as a 10 and Strand-Larsen as a target forward will help reinvigorate Gary’s style. 😊

I think Newcastle will do better without the burden of European competition this year and I think top 6 is a reasonable expectation for them. I do think it'll be interesting for Villa balancing the demands of CL and the EPL. They really did fall off at the end of last season as fatigue set in with a smaller squad - and you have to question whether they have really improved the squad. I think they'll likely add at least 2 more shortly. I only disagree with Tottenham and think they'll finish between 6th-8th. I think Ange is quite tactically naive and they will lose too many big games

pretty good predictions Jim - the only 1 I'd disagree with is Spurs finishing above Newcastle. Spurs with Europe, Newcastle without

Without Europe, having players back and adding to squad depth (including Tonali) will allow Newcastle to fully compete this season.
With new staff Chelsea & Liverpool have to be questioned, Villa may struggle with the burden of Champions league.

Man utd will surprise us this season.
Last season most of their main players were injured in and out, even their subs defenders were injured.
They have a bad transfer last season with the takeover rumour around the end of transfer window.
This season, most of the players will be back and they have a better transfer window.
They were 3rd 2 season ago and now they have a better young players, better transfer, secured new contracts for their main players and coach
Buying key players that understand the coach is also the key.
Man utd will be at the top 4 this season

I'm a spurs fan but even I feel like everyone are bit to lenient on our squad. We have a bunch of kids and unknown dentities on top of just starting a new project.

Hey I think as a Newcastle fan that we have a better chance of finishing above the Spurs but Aston Villa and Chelsea I question plus until we do it, Man U. We don’t deserve it until we prove it with that last team.
