The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Union Government of India. CBSE conducts the final examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 every year in March.

Types of CBSE Affiliation
There are three types of affiliations provided by the CBSE:

Private Schools that are established by:

Registered trusts or

Companies registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 and have education as one of their objects or

Schools that are registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 or under State Government act as educational, charitable or religious societies with non-proprietary character

Pre-approvals:
State Government Recognition

To get affiliation, a school will be required to submit a formal prior Recognition Certificate from the Education Department of the respective State Government.

No Objection Certificate

A school seeking CBSE affiliation would be required to submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ in regards to the fact that the State Government does not have any objection to the school getting affiliated with CBSE. The No Objection Certificate shall be considered operative till the same is withdrawn by the State Government.

The first step is to obtain what is known as a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from the local authorities. This NOC essentially states that the proposed location for the school does not pose any objections or problems.

Next, an application must be made to the Department of Education in the state in which the school is to be located. This department will carry out an inspection of the proposed site and facilities to ensure that they meet the required standards.

To get the recognition you would need to :

-Produce the evidence of your land record including the complete history of land procurement for your school.

-Submit the sanctioned plans of your school building.

-Get the occupancy certificate ( or the NOC ) for your school made by the concerned civic authority.

-Furnish he certificate copy from the Society or Trust you are registered with.

-Furnish a Resolution from your Trust/ Society.

-Provide the Hygiene Certificate from the medical department.

-Submit the Structural Safety Certificate.

-Get NOC from the Fire Department.

-Get an Audit Report from a CA to ascertain financial stability.

- Get an inspection done by the State Department of Education
