How to Highlight Duplicates in Google Sheets

When you have data in a column in Google Sheets that contain duplicate values, you may want to highlight them for further analysis or deletion. A quick way to do that is by using Conditional Formatting. Go to Format -- Conditional Formating -- Use Custom Formula.

The formula is =countif(range,first cell) more than 1
The range has to have $ signs.
=COUNTIF($A$2:$A$10,A2)morethansymbol1)
*YouTube doesn't allow the more than symbol so you have to put that for the "morethansymbol" words

Other tutorials caused my sheet to have a wrong highlighting but yours worked perfectly. The key was to include dollar signs. Thank you!

when was use this formula this was not work properly
some singles are showing duplicate
and some duplicates are not getting highlight but some singles are highlight
