The only problem I have with pretty much every rope tutorial video is that they only show the techniques on a wide diameter rope. I run Spartan and you get a 1" diameter rope to climb. These techniques are all much easier on a fatter rope. But on a skinny (and usually wet, muddy) rope, it's much harder to keep the feet from slipping.

Any tips for using a smaller rope?
