----------ABOUT THE VIDEO----------
This video was originally uploaded to our other channel, Casual Navigation.
We explain the difference between True North, Magnetic North and Compass North.
When navigating at sea, one of the fundamental skills is using the magnetic compass. To do so, you need to know how to work between true north, magnetic north and compass north. This video explains how you should do so, running first through the theory then taking you through some example questions.
We also show you how to read variation from a nautical chart and where to find your vessel's deviation.
