Oh and that built in compass in your smart phone is at best, off by about 10-15 deg. This is probably due to the inability to use actual magnets in phones since there are magnets in things like speakers and so on. So it uses the phones built in gyroscope and accelarmeters. This is why you sometimes get pointed in the wrong direction most notably while you look down at a full stop. It really can't tell for certain which way you are facing until you start moving and it then re-calculates location data from that. Especially if you drop your phone from time to time, and knock around those accelorometers alot, that compass app will be pretty much useless. So no, there is no APK for replacing a magnetic compass.
