Navigation Plotting is an essential skill for working in the maritime industry. This video is an introduction to some of those concepts. If you've spent lots of time on the water, but have not pursued a professional license, you should consider yourself a candidate for an Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) 6-Pack license. This license allows you to charter vessels with up to 6 paying passenger and is the first step to a career in the maritime industry, full-time or part-time!

What if Variation and Deviation are both EAST or WEST, should I still subtract to get the Compass Error?

Or you could do the Difference between True and compass

thank you so much for the presentation, I have a question; so for the last part of the presentation when working on the True course, Compass Error to find the Per ships Course to make good the true course. do we have to always plus the True Course with the Compass error to come up with the per ship compass or per magnetic course to steer.
