Sweden military boost: Sweden plans biggest increase in military spending in 70 years

The Swedish goverment has announced a HUGE boost in its military spending - the biggest since the 1950s.
If the plan is approved by parliament, the country will invest forty per cent more in its armed forces over the next four years.
That would increase the number of military personnel from sixty to ninety thousand, and also add a FIFTH submarine to the navy.
Upon announcing the bill, two weeks ago, the Swedish Defence Minister said that "an ARMED ATTACK" against the country cannot be ruled out.

It is good to see Sweden brace for the obvious pattern of Russian political and military action in the region. A very wise decision that will help them to not be caught unaware or vulnerable to this pattern of aggression. Go Sweden!

The Swedish defence today is pathetic. The budget for 2022 is 1, 1%. This gives you less than you need to keep two brigades. The defence of the N flank is so pathetic that one can laugh or cry. There are hardly any soldiers in the defence force but there is an enormus bureaucracy. Where everyone fights over the scraps and bones being the leftovers since 1990.
To turn srounf this organisation is close to impossible. The Swedish motto is everything for the bureaucracy, the defence force spends its time being political correct, it no longer complains about the madness.
