Russia is threatening to increase its military presence if Sweden and Finland join NATO. Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute Elisabeth Braw spoke with CBS News anchor Lana Zak about the geopolitical consequences to Russia if Sweden and Finland go through with their bid to join the alliance.

Russia issues these threats almost weekly since the 90's, when USSR fell apart. It also made these threats when, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania announced wish to join NATO, so it's nothing new. After a while, threats of "serious consequences" become just a lot of hot air.
Whatever the case, no free democratic country should be making or avoiding decisions under threats - russia has 0 right to tell anyone what they can or can't do.
