Having a 3rd mic you would think would help, well it does not, Hub still miss hears just like the 1st gen. But the sound quality is vastly improved.

Why didn't you compare the real audio of the speakers? "50% more bass response" is just the marketing term Google used but a sound check would have shown what that actually means. Many said the 1st gen Hub sounds like the Home Mini so I guess the 2nd gen Hub sounds like the Nest Mini?
Nonetheless a sub-HD screen is still unacceptable for me as it was 3 years ago.

So the 2nd gen with the bezel doesn't have the option to pause music with the hand gesture but the 1st gen does? That's what I gathered from the vid. That doesn't make sense for technology evolution on these.

i wish it would respond like the google mini. sometimes I don't know if it heard me uless music is on and the volume decreases a bit

on the nest hub 2 can you open the youtube music app on the display itself and choose music with ur fingers or do you need to always use your voice?

This helped a lot. I have a gen 1, didn't want to replace it, but i would like a second nest hub in the bedroom. No I know not to bother to get the gen 2 per se, because air gestures and sleep tracking, allthough placed in the bedroom, is not what i fancy. I can get a sweet deal for a gen 1, which is fine for my use (sound/music)

I don't think the ambient nature of the device is a good excuse for the poor UI performance! I'm always happy when I accomplished what I needed to do and can stop using the display, which is not something you want from a device that's supposed to be a nice and enjoyable helper.
