1.75x playback is the best way to enjoy this vid

for the price of the MAX you can buy the normal one + an even better speaker ( the only reasons left would be size and the camera and even the camera is debatable as there's other cams compatible with Nest hardware )

We have the Max in our living room and a standard hub in our bedroom. The max also has a security camera feature when we are away from home it will tell us if there is motion in the house. Great feature.

The max speakers are also good, standard hub is just ok

Great comparison, I have both. I got the first one for Christmas last year. And this one just appeared on my desk at my home one day. So some one still loves me. lol. I find that it does things better because of the camera . The security part is perfect, and video calling i like. The hand motion is my fav. new thing. turns off and on, and gives me reminders each morning of my days activities. Thanks for the review Josh.

Thanks for the review. I have a nest hub max, and it died, being only 2 years old. I might just buy 2 nest hubs for the price of 1 max. Once you get used to them, its hard not to have them :) $229.00 for 1 vs $179.00 for two.

My question is: when can we get the Max in mainland Europe?
I hate them not releasing everything everywhere at the same time... (including software features)

Would you comment on how much data usage both of these hubs require? I can only assume that the Max uses more having a camera. I also have held off buying a Nest Hello Doorbell wondering about the bandwidth used by a 24 hour camera is compared to an event capture like Ring.

Is it elder people friendly? Can they just call though it to my phone without having any ph of their own?

I wish the smaller GNH had a camera like my Amazon Echo Show 5 does. Maybe the next iteration will include a camera, Google? Thanks, Josh!

I have a 2 Google nest hubs, one in chalk grey and one in charcoal, a google home, Google nest mini, Lenovo smart clock and an LG wk7 xboom, my chalk grey nest hub and my Google Home are sitting next to each other as group speakers on my bedside cabinet next to the TV, I also have a kit sound Bluetooth adapter plugged in my tv so I can have one of my google speakers for better sound from the tv, only problem is when I go to the Google Home app and tap on one of the devices the volume metre appear on the screen, I might get a nest hub Max at some point as it has great sound and google duo video calls, Just wondering how you get video calls in full screen instead of portrait mode
