If you have a 2015 or newer Fox 36, or a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 and want better performance and more adjustability you can cheaply and easily upgrade your current fork’s damper for better performance and save some money by doing so. With Fox's GRIP2 damper upgrade kits can easily replace your 2015 and newer Fox 36's FIT4, RC2 or GRIP damper. These are also compatible with the Marzocchi Bomber Z1!

In this video we chat about the differences between the other most common Fox dampers so you can see the differences between how they all work.

I bought 2nd hand a 2020 Fox 36 Grip 140 mm. It feels like heaven after the RS Reba 90 mm XC fork. This damper interview was fantastic. I think you can not have a bad choice.

Threw a Grip2 in my F36 performance grip fork on my MT. I watched your Grip 2 setup video, did some experimentation and ended up with an awesome feeling fork! 2 volume spacers, a little less psi and a touch more sag (20-25%) than Fox recommends and tweaked compression and rebound to taste and it's rad!

I own a RC2 and a brand new Fox 36 Grip. The Grip feels awesome! Super soft, a good mid-stroke feedback - I'm pretty surprised :)

i just bought the Grip 2 damper during the black Friday sales from you guys to replace the RC2 on my 18 Fox 36. I will be doing the install after the holidays and I can't wait to see if it's the reason my hands hurt on every ride after numerous setup and cockpit changes it's the only thing left 😅

I've replaced 2015 RC2 with 2020 Grip and the difference is noticeable. Still not comparable with 2018+ forks as they have a larger negative volume chamber. Going to try Vorsprung Luftkappe in a couple of days. Still - if you add the prices of Grip 2 damper, Luftkappe and some fresh SKF seals, you might as well sell the old fork a buy a shiny new one.

I owned the Grip damper in a fox 34 and I loved it. Moved to a fox 36 with the Fit4 and it is being a nightmare to setup as I want...

There's some cheap rc2 dampers out there for sale, still a good upgrade especially for the price.

I have a Grip damper on a 36 Rythm from a 2020 Norco, would I be able to upgrade to the Grip 2, I heard OEM spec Rythm forks weren't upgradeable?

I have a fox 38 GRIP about year 2022, Love this ease of adjustment. Seems to stay more plush longer then my other Grip 2 Fox 36 year 2020. Plus the Grip 2 dials get hard to turn after a while. The GRIP single dial stays soft and really prefer it. Going to buy a second Fox 38 for my second bike so I am researching the different dampers. I was also wondering if you can add the GRIP in place of the FOX 36 Grip 2 fork? I would buy this today...

Thanks for information and great entertainment!
One question, can I put also the Fit4 into Marzocchi Z1?

GREAT VIDEO! Is it the same upgradability for the Fox Rythme 34 that come standard with so many Trail MTB?

The bomber Z1 seems like a open secret at this point, basically a fox fork at half the price, and upgradable with the good bits from higher end fox forks.

I don't really get it. Is the only con of the Grip that is it doesn't have a lot of adjustments?
