Fox GRIP2 vs FIT4 / Which is best for you?

Показать описание
For 2019, Fox offers two different dampers in their Float 36 forks; the GRIP2 and the FIT4.

Although the GRIP2 damper is brand spankin' new and feels amazing, I believe it may not be the better choice for some riders.

Check out the video to figure out which will be better for you while you're either upgrading your current fork or building up a new bike with some sweet Fox suspension!

Rider B is me.... like 100x over.... If only people saw me saying "I think I adjusted my rebound settings on this yeah I think I did" 😂 - Great video Mike!

Great video, thanks for the info! I just did the Grip2 upgrade on my Fox 40, from the Fit4. Very easy to swap out, and what a big difference!

Rider A: I tried all the helmets in the shop, for the right fit.
Rider B: My small head fits XXXL just fine.. let’s gooo already!

Before watching this video, I had my heart set on getting the Grip2 damper, but now I’m not so sure. My current fork (34 Rhythm) has the Grip damper (basically only a lockout lever and rebound adjust) and I’m pretty happy with it. I mainly want Factory for the lighter weight as well as to match to the Kashima of my DPX2 shock, so I think I may just go with the Fit4

Most definitely rider B. Just twist knobs until shit feels good and send it 😁

Thanks for the video and info. The fox fork is way outta my price range, but it's nice to see what's available out there. Also subscibed 😎

This is probably the best video on fox forks I’ve ever seen. Thank you for making this so easy to understand!

love the out takes or blooper part to this video, you should always add them in or at the end as extras cause they give a real life feel to it and make it all more relaxing and fun know we are all mere mortals that have a passion for mountain biking.

Best fork I have tried is the Rock Shox Judy on my old bike, now I got a Suntour coil on my new bike. I think I will be more than happy with any Fox 34 FIT4/GRIP2 model I will choose as my upgrade. Bought the cheapest version of a good-framed branded mtb on sale, to choose the upgrades that I want, instead of getting a high-end version, with only so-so parts.

Great video thanks. Had my Grip2 about 3 weeks and what an amazing fork. Set up mine within 3 rides using the ShockWiz and now feels amazing. Money well spend.

I've been looking at fox forks and kept wondering wth was the difference. Your video popped up a
With the exact answer. Damn good video broham. I'd like the Grip2 but I'm more of a I just wanna ride type so Fit4 sounds like a winner.

Good vid. Rider A vs B is a solid philosophy to start with. I've tried both forks and really liked both. Where I believe Grip2 is better is with Big brands that are just borrowing geometry trends from niche brands & haven't thought through the overall kinematics & thus extra adjustment is well appreciated or just super OCD Type A riders. Fit4 is terrific for good niche brands because the geometry & kinematics is painstakingly thought through. For example Pivot or Transition, loved Fit4 on those bikes, yet those brands really think through everything & thus you pay more but get more which equals less to think through on settings vs. big brands. My 2 cents. Totally OK to disagree cause if you do...just means you, 're passionate abt Mtb 🤘

Great video. I'm definitely rider B. I'm in the process of understanding the different types of dampers and didn't have any idea of these things, my original concern was more focused on having the 3 positions on the fork which is pretty much the only thing that I use during my rides

This was a great video. I was on the fence about getting the fit for damper but thanks to your video and explanation definitely going with the fit for as I'm the kind of guy who just wants to ride and not tinker!
