I am from Chile, I was an exchange student at the UdG in 2017, it was one of the best experiences of my life, the people, the places, the food, the nightlife, it is a perfect combination of a large global city with the soul of a small town. I already want to go back!

When I was 15 (in 1990), some family friends needed to check on their apartment in Guadalajara, and they invited me to come along. It was an unforgettable experience. I vividly remember the indoor market, the lush greenery and architecture of the historic streets, the restaurants, the Mariachi, and the high air pollution, lol. That last point aside, I have always wanted to return; I love Mexico, and Guadalajara is at the top of my list of places to revisit.

My dad’s hometown (technically from Zapopan next door). I absolutely love GDL and I highly recommend any curious travelers to give it an opportunity to amaze you. Amazing food, people and absolutely beautiful too. Even though I was born and raised in the US, I’ve recently been looking into moving out to GDL for a change of pace. That should say enough about how much I appreciate the city. Thanks for spotlighting this criminally underrated city, Simon! (To clarify, I meant underrated internationally)

I’m from Guadalajara, and even though I always say that Guadalajara is the best city in Mexico, I never imagined people from other countries thought the same. (I always said it slightly as a joke) but recently, I’ve seen all the attention my city is getting, and it’s a fantastic feeling.
I do recommend you visit; you will not regret it.

I was born in Compton California, I moved to Guadalajara in 2019. It’s true foreigners really don’t know about Guadalajara. It’s a beautiful city because my parents are Mexican I was able to receive my birth certificate and become a Mexican citizen. Being raised in Compton CA south L.A. area you just can’t compare. Guadalajara the pearl of the western Mexico.

My son's father's family is from Guadalajara. When my son was a toddler, we drove from Chicago to Guadalajara, and stayed there for a month with some of their family.
I would love to go back someday, when I don't have to chase a small child. But, I will never have the same experience of living with families who lived in town. It was really interesting and immersive.

I am from Zapopan Jalisco, biggest neighbor of Guadalajara, thanks for doing this video! Guadalajara has so many magical towns, food, scenery etc! A visit to tequila, Tlaquepaque, Tonalá, Mazamitla and you will fall in love! Too bad crime is high, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 16 years.

I hadn’t been to Guadalajara in well over 20 years, and my god has is changed. The western part of the city has modern skyscrapers and top of the line shopping that wouldn’t be out of place in Beverly Hills, especially Palacio de Hierro and that entire area

Born and raised in Guadalajara. I appreciate this video about my city. Not a perfect city by any means, but a pretty damn cool place to live in and in my humble opinion, the best city to live in Mexico if you like big cities. By the way, the Colonia Americana in Guadalajara was just ranked as the coolest neighborhood in the world by TimeOut magazine, which even if completely subjective, does attract some extra good attention to the city and that's always good.

Wow, I never thought I’d see you make a video on the beautiful Guadalajara! I’m an American who lives in Mexico. I’ve traveled from Chihuahua (where I’m living) to Campeche a few hours from Cancun down south. Guadalajara was one of my top three favorite cities. If you can’t visit it, I’d say watch videos on it. I’ve made a couple on it while I was there but I don’t want to sound like I’m promoting. Watch any video of Guadalajara, and look at the absolute beauty of the city. It’s huge, and it blew my mind. Especially Tlaquepaque. I love the history of Mexico. Especially the Spanish part so this video was amazing. Awesome job as always! Greetings, and much love from an American living in Mexico 👍🏼🇲🇽🇺🇸
