Yamato decides to stay in Wano and not joining The Strawhats (English Sub)

I was like Sanji when I heard Yamato wouldn't be in the group

They pulled a Vivi again. I really wanted Yamato to join the Straw Hats as a way of being truly free for the first time.

It totally sucks that there is no one else in Wano with the similar power level and haki like Yamato to help protect Wano. Yamato would've been able to join the strawhats if they had found an op character as another protecter for Wano.

the thumbnail was my reaction when it was first revealed in the manga lol, I really hope she joins back up with the strawhats later. She has to, Wano is gonna get involved in the story again.

Now that I've seen it animated the decision to "not join the crew" makes absolutely less sense than it did before. It would have been a pretty satisfying compromise if Luffy declared Yamato an honorary member and then said something like "As your captain, I'm ordering you to protect Wano."
