Can Pineapple CURE Eye Floaters?

preview_player
Показать описание
Ever hear that pineapple could help cure eye floaters? Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain which has been suggested to help break down collagen and aid in the removal of eye floaters.

Many people seek natural remedies, and pineapple, specifically its enzyme bromelain, is often touted as a potential treatment. While some studies suggest bromelain may have a positive effect on floaters, the research is limited and inconclusive. Most doctors don't currently recommend pineapple as a primary treatment due to the lack of strong evidence. This short explores the science behind the pineapple-floater connection, examining the existing research and explaining why it's crucial to consult with an eye doctor before relying on dietary changes for this condition. We'll separate fact from fiction and discuss more established approaches to managing eye floaters.

Many in the endmyopia community tried this for months. No improvement. So not even placebo.

I've heard if you put a drop of organic castor oil on the eyelid at night it can help with floaters. True or Floaters are so annoying. Thanks.

Pineapples are highly acidic too, so I would imagine it could cause skin irritation when eating fresh.

I'll chance the sugar content to get rid of eye floaters considering most of the American diet is about 60 to 70% sugar anyway I don't think natural pineapple is going to be the death of me however the bread from Subway probably has more sugar than that

I feel like my floaters have dramatically reduced since sleeping more, using red light to adapt to artificial light at sunset, squinting eyes more, wearing peaked caps.. generally just seeking eye comfort. Vaping cannabis, and taking vit k2 and d3, calcium and magnesium natural supplements, eating more vegan omega 3s.. I'm just following seasonal cravings, so now I'm eating organic strawberries and blueberries a lot as they grow locally. I'd be weary of pineapple unless it was grown naturally, locally and organically. Coffee and earl grey tea might have helped me too, lots of organic green tea, and I avoid dairy except cheese, especially feta cheese for vit k2. Also, organic nettle tea feels like it is of the best nutritional value for my inflammation pain and so perhaps that helps eyes too, when carbohydrates intake doesn’t compete with other blood sugars and vitamin c when in circulation. That's a lot of information, apologies!! Also, I'm not sure i want to buy berry powder pills again. I don't like taking supplements if they could have overly negative affects due to how I'd be taking short cuts that could weaken certain aspects of physiology.

I take digestive enzymes that contain bromelain a few times a day! Does this mean I’m reducing the collagen in my body? I don’t want to cause premature ageing 😅

I have the worst eye floaters and nothing has helped. Had them for 15ish years and they seem to only get worse. Ive taken supplements, switched diets countless times and nothing has made them better. Reading with my left eye has gone south since it makes words look like a smear of ink on the paper. The worst part is my optometrist just says year after year, get used to them.

NO.

Hi Dr Alan, Do you feel your high school floaters develope with time? I feel they are less harmful if I only have a few transparent ones? I can see through them so normally they don't bother my vision. Why can young people have floaters? The cause of aging doesn't convince me.

My mother has had floaters since 3-4 years, later she had cataract surgery and her floaters vanished only to come back 2 months later. Doc says it’s normal but it’s not because they’re cobweb floaters that cover her whole eye & give the appearance of cloudy vision. Will they subside or does she have to live with them?
