Our story of why we chose Wilmington, NC...

One day we had enough of living in an over crowed city, paying for a high cost of living, and having no time to live our lives. WE ROLLED OUT A MAP of the US and started making a list of areas we would love to move our family to...and then we did it!

This past year we have heard from a lot of folks from around the world that feel the same as we did. Record numbers of people are able to now work remotely or have been forced to retire early....Why not take this unique opportunity in human history to live the life you want to live?

Why not live closer to loved ones? Why not take this opportunity to live closer to activities we love? Have you always dreamed of living at the coast or in the mountains now is the time to make a change!

If you're interested in relocating or just have some questions, please reach out to to us, we will be happy to assist! We service the Greater Wilmington Area (which includes Pender County, Brunswick and New Hanover Counties, which include Kure Beach, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach and Topsail Island Beaches). Call, text or email.

Thanks for watching!

The area is way over crowded now and is too expensive for what you get. Bumper to bumper traffic everywhere you go. When I am able to move, I certainly will.

Me in CA wanting to move there but nervous about it not living up to California. There are things I love in CA so much but it’s just so unaffordable. How is it for kids? Schools? Baseball teams? Thank you

I live in La Jolla, CA and will be relocating. What other locations did you look at before you settled on Wilmington? Was there a close 2nd or 3rd? Thanks

It’s wonderful living in Wilmington. But new residents have to accept that we are in an area that is prone to getting hit by hurricanes. When Hurricane Florence hit us, we were cut off from the mainland for multiple days with no power. In the hot summer, no AC, stores that ran out of supplies if you weren’t fully prepared, and gas supplies that ran out if you were trying to run a generator. These are the things that people moving here are not told and basically figure out for themselves. Everyone thinks it’s this bustling river/beach town and it is in many ways but there’s a price you pay to live close by the ocean. Be vigilant during hurricane season and make sure you’re home is not in a flood zone lol. I’m seeing homes being built in areas I’ve seen get flooded to the roof and i can’t help but chuckle at how little research people do when moving here.

I live in Wilmington and I should say that is not the best but not the worst.

What areas would you suggest for a couple who are newly empty nesters and tired of the high cost of living in the Northeast ( we’ve also lived in San Diego).

Good luck people are very rude here and the area is getting worse.
