I’d feel a bit more at ease if, every once in a while, you had mentioned a fetish I DIDN’T have. And even at that, you neglected to mention a good number of powerful ones I DO have.

I kinda did feel (I’d like to be as gentle and respectful to you as possible here) that your judgments were a bit harsh. That’s how I felt listening to you, anyway. There’s a difference between having, or “enjoying”, or ‘obsessing about’ a fetish versus doing an actual action that actually harms another person (or even yourself with respect to personal agency).

We all have a dark side. I would go so far as to argue that we all have a spiritual responsibility to explore that dark side — I might even say that we’re sometimes required to become intimate with someone ELSE’S dark side.

I wouldn’t want anyone to become confused. Doing evil is doing evil. A person doing evil, and then excusing themself by convincing others that their issue is just that they have a fetish is just doing evil times two.

I wouldn’t want people to become distracted by the “red herring” of certain evil people’s fetishes. Their problem isn’t having a fetish — and eradicating the fetish won’t eradicate the problem. The problem is that evil is evil (as opposed to ‘dark’) and that evil people do evil things.

The consequence is that some, or even MANY, people get tarred with the label of being evil just because they have a fetish other folks don’t understand.

Believe it or not, this comment comes from a place of love. I’m far from perfect, but my goal is to spread light.
