This was informative and hopefully more people come across this video (irregardless of one's preferred gender or sexual identity). And I can tell you that the vast majority of information on not only women's health and bodies, but the anatomy of the human body is very lacking and sparse. And I say this as an American that was lucky enough to get compressive sex/health classes whileI was attending public school.

So it never ceases to amaze the absolutely irresponsible and utter non-sensical curriculum that far too many girls and boys get (or rather a lack of) when it comes to learning about and understanding human biology.

Far too many states in this country have abstinence only lesson plans, and it doesn't take a genius with a masters and PHD in science and biology to conclude that AO is not only a waste of taxpayer funds, but it's also detrimental to the students. If you look at the data, the states that employ these lesson plans are also the same states that have the highest rates of teen pregnancy. (And yes I am looking at you Red States) it's such a disaster.

Why is it so hard to convince people that their children need to be taught about their own bodies? The more you understand something, the less you fear it.

Of course, manufacturers don’t care as much about women’s products or how it can hurt them. And yes, regulation in the United States is so lax that US tampons contain more toxic chemicals than European products the company. The fact that US tampons are more toxic, shows that they can regulate this chemical, but is expensive and not required in the US so they do it. once again, I say shame on corporations that are only after the dollar.

As a fellow transgender man, I used my fair share of disposable pads when I had periods. When I discovered on my own, cloth pads, I found that these products would work better and they do. I spent the better part of a year, wearing monthly, cloth pads, and found them to be a great way to take care of my cycle. Easy to wash, dry and comfort level of a ten or more, I found this to be the best way to take my cycle to the next level of management. When it comes to leakage, there wasn't any. Please consider cloth pads as a way to handle your period because they do work really well.
