No doubt the Motion+ sounds clearer but the Motion Boom plays "deeper" in to the bass if that makes sense. You have to listen to music that plays down to 40hz to notice that. Motion+ is more about the upper bass "thump" whereas the Boom is more about the lower bass "rumble". There is always a trade off with these bluetooth speakers and I'm finding myself switching between both of them depending on what genre I'm listening too,

I've got the motion+ and it is a great speaker. There was an upgrade to the speaker a while back and it really made a difference in sound. The motion+ sounds great when I'm listening to audio dramas or watching described movies.

Now if you combine 2 Motion Plus as a stereo pair and one Motion Boom as your sub woofer you can have 2.1 home theater wi-fi setup - if only Anker can support this 3-way connection!

I have two motion booms and they sound really good in TWS mode, I lost my old motion plus that i owned back in 2019. I think im gonna order two they are much more compact you can throw two in a bag and you got great compact/lightweight audio setup for outside

Motion boom is for the bass, motion + is for high and clear sound quality.

I have both and i agree with you, Motion+ is better, i was a little bit disappointed with the Motion Boom when i got it some days ago, but no doubt, the Boom fills more the space with the bass, over all outdoors, it is a bass you can feel, but in everything else Motion+ is the clear winner, just sounds better and it is smaller.

What volume are you testing at?
At 40-70% both speakers will be very closely matched.
At 80-100% is where the Boom comes into it's own and will leave the Plus in the dust.

song 3 the boom is certainly louder/bassier. think i might have to get one since i already have a motion+. Motion+ is the winner for clarity

I’d still have to go with the Boom though.

The Boom sucks in standard mode, but when you customize it in the app (which is what it should always be used in imo) its hard to be beat for me personally. Boom is a bass heavy speaker, so it drowns out the mids (vocals) alot, so I just bring down the bass a notch or two, and up the treble to bring out that clarity.

If you need bass for cheap then go for the W-King X10 or D10. But if you want detail, get the motion+. I have both. One is for electro and dance sounds, the other for pop and classical ones.
