I was very fortunate to have seen some of the Dead Sea Scrolls when they were on display in San Diego, CA Balboa Park Museum it was around 2007-2010. It was really a once in a lifetime opportunity. Being in a temp controlled room, low light, no cameras allowed, but you just had this sense that you were around something very special. It's very unlikely these scrolls will ever be on displayed the way I saw them over a decade ago in the USA. That is a shame, yet understandable considering how fragile they are.
