Types of vaccines and how they work, efficacy/effectiveness

This presentation will examine the current portfolio of COVID-19 vaccines that are authorized or approved in Canada and those currently under development. The composition of the vaccines will be discussed in terms of their mode of action. Vaccine performance will be explained based on the results from their pivotal clinical trial efficacy studies and from effectiveness data from real-life use in the presence of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine strains and emerging variants.
