How We Carry Heavy Ebikes On A Class B RV

This video highlights our purchase and assembly of the Rakattach super duty swing away bike rack from 1UP. Ebikes can be heavy! Each of our Rad ebikes (Radrunner 2 and the RadRunner Plus) weigh about 62 pounds. Most bike racks won’t support that kind of weight. We liked the Rakattach because of its 500 lb carrying capability but also because of its swing away feature. This allows us to have access to the back doors of our coachmen beyond class b RV.

Nice video. I have the 1Up Extreme because our e-bikes are about 80 lbs. The 4th position on your rack where it is tilted down is for folks that have rear hatches like on our minivan. It lowers the bikes out of the way so you can still open the rear door.

Nice video. Do you have Bliss (blind spot notification) on your Transit and if so does it still work with the bikes mounted on the rack?

Excellent video! This may be my best option for my Beyond as well. The extra bolt, washers and spindle is for use in a lower hole position to accommodate your 20” wheels
