If you're a new heat press owner, then you probably have wondered what accessories and essentials you need when you want to use your heat press. A teflon sheet and magnets is essential to protect the top platen of your heat press from heat transfer vinyl (HTV) sticking to it when you remove the carrier sheet. That way you'll never forget to cover your iron on again! I also recommend having pressing pillows in the sizes that make the most sense for you as a heat press accessory. Pressing pillows lift the surface of project above the seams to ensure you get a perfect press every time. Lastly, having heat resistant tape is also an essential tool. Heat tape is helpful for sublimation, and also holding HTV in place for projects that are tricky. Heat-resistant tape won't leave any adhesive behind on your projects as regular tape would. You can get most of these essentials at 143vinyl, but the heat-resistant tape is from Amazon. You can find everything linked in the description above.

Thank you so much! I just unboxed this baby and your information is so helpful! I really wanted to purchase on 143 to use your code but it was sold out. I ended up buying from swing design. I'm so excited to use it, I've been using the walmart steamfast mini iron so this is a major upgrade 🥰

This is so helpful! Thank you!!! I received my Cricut earlier this month, and just purchased the Starcraft Heat Press, too. I was lost on what else I needed, and I'm so glad I found your video! ❤

Nice video again. We have limited space and would have to be able to move the heat press. Do they need to be bolted down or can they be easily moved? Thanx for the info.

Hi thank you so much for all your helpful information! I had a question can you use the same Teflon sheet for each press? How often should it be change?

I have the cricut heat press and about to buy this press. Should I use the mat under the shirt to press with this heat press?

Would a Cricut press mat work in place of a pressing pillow? I have three sizes that I used with my Easy Press!

Congratulations, a heat press are much more comfortable than a silk screen, as long as you are working with the piece

Alex, I am at a loss. I've tried every vinyl from 143 vinyl on my shirts. Followed several people to see what I'm doing wrong but my designs don't stick long. What can I possibly be doing wrong? Please help?

Did you notice the heat resistant tape had a smell to it? I bought the same brand heat resistant tape and it smelled almost like cat urine 🤢 also the color left demarcation on a mug I pressed for sublimation. I ended up buying cricut heat resistant tape hoping that this wouldn't leave demarcation like the other one did! Just got a StarCraft 8 in 1 so I'm super excited to use that for the first time this weekend!

lol why wouldn't you close the press on the teflon sheet to hold it in place before you apply the magnets?
