Big difference between clam shells and swing away presses is what you can press.

Due to their design Clam shells are good for T shirts and other thin products like key chain inserts.

Swing away presses allow you to press any thickness like phot rocks and photo crystals.

Clam shell presses, due to their design don't lay flat on thick objects. Swing away presses do.

Is it possible to make a 15x15 or a 16x16 heat press for a 17x11” heat transfer paper t shirt? I know the paper would be bigger but is it possible with 2 presses or would that ruin the whole print?
