Geographically, Europe is approximately 10, 530, 000 km² in size. The USA, on the other hand, is around 9, 834, 000 km² in size.

A comment in the video said it was crazy to walk 1 mile down the road... Madrid is a city with 30 km of diameter. Even though we have 12 subway lines with 310 stations and 225 bus lines with 2500 vehicles running at any given time, yesterday I went for a walk 5 hours just to visit a park I had never visited inside my own city 10 km away from home. I feel those kind of days are great.

I'm German and would like to explain what the guy means by "spa at employer's expense". He's talking about medically prescribed rehabilitation treatments in sanatoriums. These are special clinics that take care of full recovery after serious illnesses or the prevention of such illnesses. The costs of the stay and the money you get from the pension insurance instead of your salary are paid for. It is paid because it is cheaper for the state to pay for you to stay at the seaside for 6 weeks with yoga classes, art therapy and water aerobics than if you were permanently unable to work or were to become a premature hospice case. Since the clinics are not prisons, the cities also offer other light entertainment. Things like bingo evenings, classical music in the impressive guest house or guided hikes at the weekends, with only a light level of exertion.

I don't understand the "different states, different tax" argument when it comes to prices. All the time, Americans argue "our states are bigger than European countries". And of course the prices are different in different countries here in Europe. And nobody thinks twice about it. But in the USA that would be the end of the world or something?

Hey Barbadian fan here: Versailles is a city in Frnace, a spa is a location where mineral-rich spring water (and sometimes seawater) is used to give medicinal baths. Spa towns or spa resorts (including hot springs resorts) typically offer various health treatments. Robitussin (ro-buh-tuh-sen) is a brand of cough medicine...hope that helps!😀

The guy that talked about being in a gas guzzler was being ironic (sort of sarcasm), was actually talking up the value of public transit in Europe. So was the guy who talked about driving a big truck one mile, he was actually calling out the practice....by, again, using sarcasm.

In the age of computers, prices change everywhere, every time you cross a border (either state border or country border) and printing a correct label at the flip of a switch is no hassle.
There is no reason AT ALL for customers not to be informed beforehand of the final price.

With respect, you cannot escape a bad diet with just moving.
It’s more about what you eat.
Excersize does help though.

Dude we wanna see the patio! 😂

Also, as far as I know, few hundred years back, cobble stone roads were built in a way that a small flat part of the stone is at the top, while most of it goes vertically into the ground, thus they don't break because you only walk on a small top of a much bigger stone instead of on a flat horizontal plate of stone.

3:33 he mean any store, including physical ones. like you could just add up product prices when picking them from shelves and know exactly how much you pay in checkout. (barring some acosional sale not yet displayed next to product or sale thats still displayed but has ended).
also here it seams self checkouts is more and more gaining popularity. incleases amount of concurent people who can pass thru checkout with basicaly same amount of space and is easier on cashiers, only need one per every some self-checkouts and basicaly only to help in case something up

12:29 here in Šiauliai atleast (Lithuania, baltic country) in city its like every several minutes to like 15 minutes, but there are lot of bus routes, like almost 30, some bus stops have like 10 or 15 different routes going thru them so better look good at bus route number incase you intend to ride more than several stops. at most bus stops there is map of routes with all which go thru that stop marked, and all bustops (or atleast ones i seen) have time tables, like when and what route bus should be here, with seperate table for weekend route schedules. and its rare to see more than 5 minutes diference from schedules, often its just like few minutes difference from schedule, so max would have to wait few minutes more.

Spas are mineral-rich spring water locations used to give medicinal baths, many of them have beautiful old constructions. We also have them in Spain, we call them "Balnearios", and depending on the minerals of the water they are used to treat one or another condition. Ofcourse there are also salt water spas and leisure spas with normal water. How is the Spa culture in the US? you have a lot of hot springs too I imagine.

11:12 spa's like sulphur baths, mud baths, massages, exercises with supervision and help of professionals, you know, like stuff rich people do, but here you could get that from universal healthcare, my mom was sent into such one after knee replacement surgery, and she is self employed selling flowers and candles near cemetery. universal healthcare FTW !

I'm Norwegian. The last place I lived was on a farm in the middle of the forest. For 6 years. The main building was built around 1950...the barn and the rest of the buildings around 1650. :)

Okey this kind of shows how you are not from Europe. British like to take shots at French and French sent them right back... we all have some sort of beef with our neigbours... most of the time it is friendly... not bad meaning... like we estonians make fun of fins (yeah, any fin offended... I know for a fact you do the same thing.. no hard feeling) and of course our darling six toes neigbour :) Much love.

LOL... Spa... as in a Health Spa. A place you can go for mineral rich water, swimming or lounging in pools of natural water, relax, take walks in the countryside and eat healthy food. Also often features massage, yoga or gentle excercise. Usually no alchol, smoking or junk food :) It's abit like a complete bodyand mind de-tox.

indeed europe is a whole continent: the thing about restaurant at 9pm in copenhaguen, wouldn't be as difficult in Paris (in small cities of France on the contrary...). but still, after 10pm the majority of restaurants kitchen will be closing so they wouldn't accept you anymore anyway. So then fast foods are all it's left and maybe they close earlier during the weekdays but on a saturday you can find small shops/fast food until late, but rarely all night
