In this video I go exploring and fishing possibly the best lake in Florida for bass fishing, Head Waters lake. I had a ton of fun exploring and fishing brand new water. It is always fun to go somewhere new and try to figure out a bite.

I was also on vacation in Florida and my wife was nice enough to let me stop by and spend a morning on Headwaters on our way back home to Kentucky. It’s an awesome lake. Caught my PB!! Alex the kayak launch is down the road at the Fellesmere rec area. I caught an 8.5lb in January on a spinnerbait in the canal that parallels the road on the south side.

The great thing about living here in Florida is that some nondescript ponds/lakes (of which there are thousands) can hold some excellent fish.

Funny enough I plan on moving to this area in the next year or so. I'm not moving their because of the bass fishing but it's a HUGE perk. 😁

Just a heads up for anyone planning on going to headwaters, there’s no fishing allowed in the S-Canal from the boat ramp. FWC will fine you if you get caught fishing along that canal
