Good video. Two suggestions. Don't close your bail until it has hit the bottom. Closing your bail early drags it back to you as it sinks and drags it into the weeds. Second suggestion is to put a bead on the line under your sinker to protect your knot. I have lost big fish due to the sinker, over time, weakening my braid knot at the swivel. Nicely done.

After putting the dough bait on the hook dip it in the water for a few seconds before casting it. This helps keep it on better

When you put dough/ nuggets whether powerbait brand or any other brand like pautzkes, you should form it on your hook, then dip it into the water then wait a few seconds before casting, and adjust or work the dough on your hook better if it needs it. Getting the dough wet really helps you form it around the hook better and helps the dough stay on better during the cast. Try it sometime man, I think it really helps

I like that your rig is simple.. Druthers... I might put a bead between that egg sinker and the swivel to protect the knot. Nuggets do work... I use Gamakatsu salmon egg hooks, 12, slide three nuggets up the line, keep hook exposed... with Powerbait, everyone's an expert and in the comments, everyone's a critic :-) Nice job .

I have found that the Orange Pulp and the Chunky Cheese are my best Power Bait colors. I have just about every color and it is always just a matter of figuring out what color they want.

Great video, I use this set up for powerbait too. For over 20 years. I use circle hooks more than trebbles now though. My favourite colors are chartreuse, and bubblegum. But bubblegum can be hard to find now.

Never thought of using treble hooks, I always use circle hooks, usually use 2 nuggets rolled into a ball, and I completely cover the hook, I will definitely try the treble hooks though, may not need to use so much bait, will have to try the pink nuggets as well, thanks for the information

Great fishing! Some suggestions instead of trebIe hooks, I would use only single hooks file, pinch down the barb of the hook. Also use a bead between the swivel and sinker. And use lightest line under or 4lb test. Good Luck

4lb test, 1/8oz worm sinker. I hold the rod and keep the line tight on the fall with my index finger on the line. Many times they hit on the drop ! After that I fork em and throw a Gold Super Duper while waiting for the bites ! I use the tiny gold egg hooks !

Great video. I was catching some as the ice came off and used a drop shot rig. I bet using your rig would work awesome with that treble hook. Sweet video! They are tasty too! I cooked mine up and made a catch video and a cook video. Been nice to do since the River and most lakes are BLOWN out in Louisville

I have yet to have success fishing with a Carolina rig. I've done better using a dropshot with bait attached. Someday I'll try the Carolina rig again; maybe the times I tried it the fish simply weren't biting. Thanks for posting.
