Yubikey 2FA hardware key Review

Online security is important now more than ever. A strong password is a must. For those sites that offer it 2FA (two-factor authentication) should be a second must. Most sites offer SMS 2FA, which is better than nothing. But what do you do when you are ready to take your security to the next level this is when you want a security key.

In this video, I will cover several such options from Yubico. My main 2FA key that I use daily is the Yubikey 5 NFC, want to know more? You will have to watch.

Yubikey also have a good warranty policy. Got one replaced because of a hardware failure. (Yubico Neo 1 generation!)

you completely a majority all the features and functions of the key.

you could use them on older MacBooks to login with only a pin code.

you can store your pgp keys

you can store your ssh keys for remote login.

you can use it for your digital key to sign your emails.

hi, so you can use the black one ( costlier one ) as ur daily driver. and in case it doesnt work anymore or lost it. you can use the cheaper blue one as back up? so they are compatible? thanks

A question everyone has. Does your backup key open up your online account using your backup key, even tho they are different ? Hence they say to buy two, one for backup.
