Building a 6 foot tall K’Nex Roller Coaster

Man, I had the best Christmas break building this masterpiece. My parents eventually made me move it to the basement, then later break it down, but it was still awesome. Even after breaking it for parts I’d still play with them making custom Megazords.

I had one of thess as a kid and the best fun we got out of it was our dozen or so ferrets reacting to it and spazzing out, it was genuinely one of my favorite childhood memories lol

My next door neighbor’s kid had this set. My brother and I came over one day in the summer and the three of us took turns following the steps and putting the rollercoaster together. Good memories!

Maaaan, this just unlocked a memory I haven't thought about since childhood. I wanted this so bad as a kid. The commercials really sold it for me, but my mom was raising 7 boys on her own so money was always tight.

I remember a friend getting this for his birthday and inviting me over to build it with him... I was completely lost trying to figure out the instructions. I was still years away from finding out I was dyslexic 🤣

Got a whole cardboard box of them, and if I ever need something weird and specific I build it with k'nex. No kidding. I've built a DVD rack and over-the-shelf hooks for jewelry.

I remember back when knex had the Mario license, all those Mario Kart sets were freaking awesome, nothing Lego is doing with Mario (except the nes set) can remotely compare

Ayy, I loved K'Nex. Not quite as phenomenal as Legos, but you could do some neat stuff with them due to the larger size and better stability.

Dude I went to a friend's house for a sleepover and built this and it was epic. We ofcourse then took apart the track so the coaster would go around the loop then fly off the tracks and shoot across the room at 10000m per hour haha good times

This thing got me into collecting Knex as a child. Seeing people make insane roller coasters with Knex makes me wish I had a bunch more of them.

I think I had one like this that was three feet tall when I was in middle school. I built it over the summer in the hallway, since my bedroom was too small for a project like that (even though the hallway was probably even smaller hahaha). It was really satisfying when I finally got it complete and running, and left it up for 3 days after I finished it. My coaster didn't have people in it, though. It was just the cars. And I remember my coaster having a red yellow and white aesthetic rather than purple green and orange like yours.
